Southern Pointe is an active and energetic neighborhood in the southern part of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is located between Yale Avenue and Sheridan Road, north of 91st Street. Nestled between two heavily wooded hills, Southern Pointe has 339 custom homes with large trees and well-maintained landscapes.
Since 1989, Southern Pointe has matured into one of Tulsa’s finest and most desired neighborhoods. The close proximity to parks, shopping, libraries, restaurants, and major roadways makes it one of the best residential locations in south Tulsa.
Hunter Park, one of Tulsa’s large city parks, is located across 91st Street. It has a pavilion, playground, basketball courts, large water playground, soccer fields, and a jogging trail that connects to the Creek Turnpike trail and the Riverside Trail. The park also contains a beautiful stocked pond that is great for fishing and feeding water fowl.
Southern Pointe is located within the Union school district. Darnaby Elementary school is one mile east of the neighborhood. The Helmerich Tulsa Public library is three blocks to the southwest.
The Southern Pointe Homeowners Association (SPHA) was incorporated in the state of Oklahoma in 1989 and remains very active. The Association sponsors several neighborhood activities each year. Neighbors enjoy participating in Biannual Garage Sales (spring and fall), an Easter Egg Hunt, and the July Fourth Bicycle Parade.
